Cambia Health Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Privacy Specialist II to join our team on a temporary basis. As a member of our Privacy team, you will play a critical role in protecting sensitive information and ensuring compliance with governing regulations.

About the Role

The Privacy Specialist II will be responsible for:

  • Issuing, spotting, and addressing basic privacy-related questions and providing guidance to the business
  • Investigating privacy incidents and logging them in our incident tracking system to ensure compliance with HIPAA and state data breach laws
  • Recommending corrective actions and communicating with supervisors and managers
  • Processing individual rights requests under HIPAA and overseeing mitigation efforts
  • Assisting with the development and presentation of privacy-related training to further a compliance culture
  • Completing training-tracking and monitoring to ensure enterprise-wide training completion compliance
  • Assisting with the maintenance of databases related to privacy

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in law, business administration, health policy, communication, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of previous work experience in privacy, particularly for a HIPAA-covered entity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least one privacy certification (e.g., CIPP-US or CHPC)
