Job Summary

The Assistant Manager, Merchandising will play a critical role in managing store operations and achieving company goals. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the overall merchandising strategy, ensuring a positive and professional work environment, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all customers. Proactively assist customers in solving problems and provide a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
  • Store Operations: Supervise the general operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and loss prevention. Ensure a safe and efficient work environment for all associates.
  • Inventory and Merchandising: Oversee receiving, checking in, and stocking of merchandise, ensuring accurate and timely inventory management. Manage ordering and maintaining desirable product inventory levels to ensure store profitability.
  • Hiring and Training of Associates: Assist in training and developing associates, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment. Actively recruit and promote the advancement of Westlake associates.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous retail management experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong problem-solving skills.
