Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY : You will be responsible for the assessment, treatment, management, and care of patients during transport, guided by the leadership of the transport team. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care delivery and achieve desired outcomes, functioning autonomously in an advanced clinical capacity.

Your role will include assisting management in developing systems and processes to enhance patient care quality and nursing efficiency throughout the transport procedure. You will also coordinate and oversee the unit preceptor program in collaboration with transport team administration.

Required Licensure/Certifications:

  • Valid RN license in Texas.
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Additional Requirements for Maternal RN:

  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification.

Additional Requirements for PICU/NICU RN:

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • C-NPT Neo Ped Transport certification (24-month grace period from hire).
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) (1-year grace period from hire).
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) (1-year grace period from hire).
  • STABLE certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
  • Pediatric Nurse Certification (PNCCT).
  • Transport Nurse Certification (TNATC).
  • Critical Care Flight Nurse (CFRN).
  • Experience in Critical Care Transport.
  • A minimum of three years' experience as a Registered Nurse in various critical care settings.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in reading and writing Basic English.
  • Capable of lifting over 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to empathize and respond to the needs of patients, families, and colleagues.
