About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dietary Technician to join our team at Providence Swedish. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen inpatients for nutrition risk factors and verify relevant data
  • Refer patients with nutrition problems or evolving nutrition problems to the Registered Dietitian (RD)
  • Monitor and support the nutrition care of patients not followed by the RD
  • Assist and counsel patients and families in diet and diet progression
  • Collect and calculate nutrient intakes and assist with meal selections when necessary
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Food & Nutrition or completion of a Dietetic Technician program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • 6 months of food service or nutrition care experience in a hospital setting (preferred)
