Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dietetic Technician Float to join our team. This role will work closely with clients, their families, and staff to provide exceptional care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with registered dietitians and culinary services to ensure accurate execution of diet orders and meal plans.
  • Coordinate the ordering and management of meals, including Accanto catered meals and external meal purchases.
  • Communicate diet orders, allergies, and dietary accommodations to the culinary team and assist with managing dietary needs.
  • Partner with the culinary team to execute production of individualized client trays and support plating and serving meals.
  • Complete food inventory and ordering tasks, receiving and storing food/meal orders in accordance with food safety protocols.
  • Provide active meal coaching and support for clients in Therapeutic Supported Meals.
  • Plan, prepare, and facilitate assigned nutrition groups, documenting groups in the EHR.
  • Assist the dietitian with daily weight tracking, group preparation, meal plan compliance, and meal planning.
  • Support the culinary team in maintaining the patient pantry with proper labeling and portioning.
  • Provide coverage as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Dietetic Technology or a bachelor's degree in Nutritional Science or Nutrition.
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to drive.
  • One year of clinical or public health experience preferred.
  • Previous eating disorder experience is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification required (American Heart Association) within 30 days from date of hire.
  • ServSafe Food Handler certification required (Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit required in lieu of ServSafe Food Handler for Dietetic Technicians practicing in Washington).
