About the Role

Farnsworth Group is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for industrial, oil and gas, advanced manufacturing, and renewable energy markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, controls, and renewable energy systems
  • Conduct fieldwork to gather data and assess existing conditions
  • Develop and implement electrical system designs, including calculations, equipment specifications, and layout
  • Collaborate with other production staff and engineering disciplines to ensure project success
  • Prepare and submit accurate electrical system construction drawings and specifications
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project design budgets and schedules are met
Requirements
  • 4-8 years of experience in technically complex system design
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • EIT designation required, Professional Engineer License (PE) preferred
  • Wide range of design experience, including industrial power distribution, controls, and MV systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with others and work on multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Ability to solve complex power engineering problems
  • Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of codes and standards associated with electrical power, including National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, and applicable IEEE Standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • NCEES Record holder preferred
  • Knowledge of Navisworks software preferred
  • Knowledge of SKM PowerTools, Easy Power, and/or ETAP preferred

Salary Range

$75,000 to $96,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
