Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Prep Cook to join our team at Jackmont Hospitality Inc. in Arlington, VA.

About the Role

The Prep Cook will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests by setting up the kitchen for success, ensuring all prepped food items are properly labeled and organized, and maintaining strict adherence to our recipes, quality standards, and food labeling & storage protocol.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Arrive on time and in proper work attire, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Complete daily prep lists with accuracy and attention to detail, adhering to our recipes and specifications.
  • Clean and wash dishes used during prep, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Dates and labels prepped items correctly, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized walk-in, adhering to FIFO principles.
  • Communicate effectively with team members throughout the shift, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Assist team members as needed, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation, adhering to company protocols.
  • Clean and organize the workspace before service, ensuring a seamless transition.
Qualification Requirements
  • Able to pass a 10-year federal background check in the airport.
  • Exhibits a strong passion for hospitality and customer service.
  • High energy levels and stamina, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, with excellent physical stamina.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day, with minimal breaks.
  • Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, the primary language of the work location.
Compensation & Benefits

We offer an estimated salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
