Molecular Validation Specialist

Maine Molecular Quality Controls, Inc. (MMQCI) is a pioneering company in the field of quality control products for laboratory testing. Based in Saco, Maine, MMQCI designs, develops, and manufactures innovative solutions to monitor genetic, oncologic, and infectious diseases.
Job Description
The successful candidate will join our Technical Operations team as a Molecular Validation Specialist. The primary role involves installing, qualifying, and maintaining equipment used in manufacturing and quality control testing. This includes writing validation protocols and reports, creating maintenance procedures, and performing environmental testing to ensure a clean and uncontaminated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installs and qualifies equipment for manufacturing and QC testing, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Develops and implements written maintenance procedures to optimize equipment performance.
- Conducts environmental testing to verify cleanliness and absence of contamination.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to validate product test procedures and new manufacturing processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should possess a B.S. in Biology or Life Sciences and have work experience in a laboratory setting. Familiarity with molecular biology and good communication skills are highly desired. Additionally, you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to perform tasks quickly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
