Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Maintenance Worker to join our team at Skookum. As a General Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist skilled workers in performing electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry work.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
  • Communicate and interact directly with customers and supervisors to determine customer needs and inform them of unexpected or additional repairs.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.
  • Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.
  • Communicate with the scheduler to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates.
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in general maintenance/construction work, and/or training with aptitude to perform the work preferred.
  • Valid state driver's license required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • Per our government contract, all contractor employees must be legal U.S. residents.
