Job Description

The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is seeking a Project Manager 2 to manage cross-divisional projects within the agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects through the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and control.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, scope statements, schedules, budgets, quality plans, risk plans, and communication plans.
  • Coordinate project activities, including meetings, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain project resource libraries and track tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Plan and assist in transitioning projects to operations.
  • Assist in developing project management tools for the EMPO.
  • Supervise and train Project Manager 1's and provide mentoring and guidance on project management to outside divisions as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Demonstrates experience in developing and utilizing project management tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrates experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously to completion.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current certification from the Project Management Institute as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience in managing divisional portfolios.
Working Conditions

This will be a collaborative role, working directly with other project and portfolio managers, as well as divisions across the organization.
