Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Hi-Way Paving, Inc. in Charlotte, NC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing equipment and truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and diesel engines.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with operators and managers to plan and execute repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of each repair performed.
  • Ensure all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Technician.
  • Valid CDL license with hazardous materials endorsement.
  • ASE Diesel Certification.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Physical capabilities required include climbing, lifting, carrying, standing, sitting, walking, and performing repetitive actions.
