Job Description

Job Summary:

Stay Graceful is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Caregiver to join our team. As a key member of our caregiving staff, you will provide exceptional care and support to our clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Care: Provide direct supervision and daily care of clients, primarily in their home environment, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain professional and caring relationships with clients, their families, and other primary social supporters, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their needs.
  • Activity Planning: Plan and participate in activities with clients as outlined in their care plans, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend and actively participate in weekly team meetings, group supervision, and complete in-service hours annually as required by state regulations.
  • Communication: Maintain a professional, courteous, and helpful relationship with clients, family members, and other caregivers, ensuring open and effective communication.
  • Compliance: Adhere to Stay Graceful's Standard Operations Procedures and South Dakota State Regulations/Administrative Rules relating to in-home care, ensuring compliance and quality of services.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for the quality of services and completion of necessary in-home care duties and related training, including medication management, CPR training, and first aid training.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: No degree required; applicable experience in Human Services or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and a commitment to providing exceptional care and support to clients.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform duties as outlined above, including lifting 10-20 lbs, continual standing and walking during shift, and occasional exposure to toxic chemicals.
