Job Overview

Position: Inside Sales / Technical Support - Valves
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $65,000 to $95,000 (commensurate with experience)
Location: South Houston

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming customer inquiries via phone and email, and assess requests for quotations (RFQs).
  • Evaluate customer specifications and requirements to ensure compatibility with product offerings.
  • Facilitate the efficient processing of quotes and orders.
  • Deliver technical support and provide detailed product quotations and datasheets.
  • Assist in resolving commercial and technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to meet customer needs.
  • Support sales teams, distributors, and end-users by ensuring order accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Maintain and update the CRM database with customer information and ensure organized record-keeping.
  • Stay informed about product knowledge, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Foster a strong customer service image and maintain professional relationships with clients.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of product applications and customer requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in industrial sales or support, particularly with safety relief valves, control valves, steam traps, or triple offset butterfly valves.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary.
  • Familiarity with control valves, steam equipment, safety relief valves, ASME code, API, and valve sizing software is advantageous.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to teamwork and professional growth.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and customer requests while maintaining professionalism.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in an inside sales or customer service role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Spanish or German is a plus.
