Role Overview:

The Retail Sales Consultant plays a vital role in a dynamic team focused on delivering personalized service tailored to our customers' needs. Our consultants foster authentic connections and loyalty with customers, assisting them in curating their wardrobes. This position requires a commitment to providing outstanding customer service through product knowledge and advanced sales techniques, while also maintaining store standards and visual merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Performance: Meet individual and team sales goals by:
    • Welcoming customers warmly and engaging them effectively.
    • Building customer loyalty through genuine interactions.
    • Participating in company-led initiatives to attract new customers and enhance shopping frequency.
    • Delivering tailored service that addresses each customer's unique needs.
  • Customer Engagement: Assist customers in selecting flattering outfits by:
    • Guiding them in building versatile wardrobes with thoughtful service and recommendations.
    • Staying informed about J.Jill's product offerings, including styles, fabrics, and care instructions.
    • Keeping abreast of current fashion trends and how they relate to our collections.
  • Visual Presentation: Support the execution of visual merchandising by:
    • Assisting with store layout and ongoing product displays.
    • Maintaining high visual standards throughout the store.
    • Replenishing merchandise to meet minimum stock levels.
  • Operational Excellence: Contribute to store operations by:
    • Participating in various operational tasks, including marketing, inventory management, and store upkeep.
    • Adhering to company policies to ensure a safe environment and protect company assets.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail, preferably in women's specialty apparel.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and technical proficiency.
  • Community connections are a plus.
  • A passion for fashion and the J.Jill brand, with a commitment to ongoing engagement.
  • Strong communication skills and proven customer service abilities.
  • Exceptional style, merchandising, and wardrobe consulting skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected pay range for this role is $14.30 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. Part-time associates are eligible for benefits, including paid time off, generous employee discounts, and access to assistance programs.
