Job Summary

The IT Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure, including the management of data backups and system patching, and leading the help desk team. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT services, as well as providing high-quality technical support to all users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain computer systems, network servers, and virtualization platforms
  • Implement and manage robust backup strategies to ensure data integrity and recoverability
  • Regularly schedule and supervise the patching of systems and network equipment to ensure security and functionality
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and lead infrastructure upgrade projects
  • Manage the help desk team to provide timely and effective technical support
  • Develop help desk policies and procedures to standardize support processes
  • Track and analyze help desk performance, implementing improvements for efficiency and service quality
  • Coordinate IT support activities across departments, ensuring alignment with organizational needs
  • Ensure the implementation of effective security measures, including regular system patching, network security enhancements, and risk assessments
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and compliance requirements, integrating them into IT operations
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop IT strategies that support the organization's goals
  • Manage IT budgets, forecast infrastructure needs, and oversee the procurement of technology resources
  • Work with vendors to obtain efficient and cost-effective IT services and equipment
  • Manage the procurement process for IT hardware, software, and other technology tools
  • Travel to other DMCU branches as required and the flexibility to respond to IT emergencies or conduct maintenance activities outside of business hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • Relevant professional certifications (CISM, CISSP, etc.)
  • Significant experience in an IT coordinator role, with expertise in infrastructure, backups, patch management, and help desk operations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Must possess Member Service Standards (professional, confidentiality, attendance, and teamwork)
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • No phone calls or third parties. Candidates must be United States citizens or legal permanent residents. Proof of legal residence and work authorization in the United States is required.
