Our primary stakeholders include the Corporate Controller Group, Global Business Services Leadership, market finance teams, Asset Management, Treasury, and both Internal and External Audit. The fast-paced and evolving nature of our environment necessitates a candidate who can drive efficiencies effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses regarding the implications of the lease accounting standard on McDonald's consolidated financial statements.
  • Serve as a business Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the leasing system, TRIRIGA, providing consultancy, identifying enhancements, and addressing inquiries related to the monthly and quarterly close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with McDonald's policies concerning the technical accounting aspects of the leasing standard.
  • Perform consistent and accurate lease classification analysis for the real estate portfolios across various markets.
  • Oversee and analyze the lease portfolio to ensure consistency, standardization, and reasonableness across different markets.
  • Prepare necessary disclosures for external financial statements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the accounting field and/or financial services, with preference for candidates with Big 4 public accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with Lease Accounting, with experience in the TRIRIGA Lease Accounting System being advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
  • A results-driven mindset.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Capacity to operate under tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Initiative and creativity in identifying efficiencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly adapt to other necessary software applications.
