Job Title: Technical Leader/Director

Job Overview

This role is responsible for leading the development of advanced artificial intelligence products within image processing, computer vision, machine learning, and autonomy. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in managing teams to deliver customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Direct and manage internal and external teams in the execution of advanced development programs in the areas of artificial intelligence-based detection and classification systems.
- Provide subject matter expertise in autonomy, image processing, and their integration with advanced artificial intelligence systems.
- Design and architect new image processing and autonomous solutions to support advanced artificial intelligence products.
- Collaborate with other subject matter experts and technical directors to design and architect a full artificial intelligence software stack.
- Interface with customers as a subject matter expert.
- Responsible for algorithm design and development, including performance assessments using theoretical and real-world data.
- Interface with software engineers to translate AI, ML, and autonomy algorithms into real-time embedded code.
- Ensure quality assurance processes are accurate and reliable.
- Collaborate with the Quality team on testing and validation activities to maintain high-quality standards.
- Address ethical considerations and biases in AI algorithms.
- Ensure AI systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, promoting responsible AI practices.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements

- Ph.D. preferred in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Autonomy.
- Leading internal teams and managing external suppliers.

- Developing software for unmanned systems.
- Writing SBIR, STTR, or other DoD proposals.
