Nuclear Licensing Engineer Opportunity

System One is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Licensing Engineer to support our client in Bellevue, WA. This remote contract opportunity requires a strong background in nuclear licensing, quality assurance, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, author, and review licensing documents to ensure compliance with regulations and quality assurance standards.
  • Interface with the Licensing Team to complete licensing tasks and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Coordinate with design personnel to ensure designs and design changes meet regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain licensing documentation in compliance with regulations and quality assurance standards.
  • Interfacing with technical discipline teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare and review technical material to support licensing efforts.
  • Review correspondence to and from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission to ensure compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited, four-year university or equivalent experience.
  • 5 or more years of demonstrated, applicable experience in nuclear licensing, quality assurance, project management, or equivalent experience in a comparable field.
  • Familiarity with US NRC 10 CFR regulations and guidance.
  • Familiarity with 10 CFR 50 Construction Permit and Operating License Applications.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
