Job Overview

Tacoma Community College is seeking an accomplished Engineering Professor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching introductory Engineering courses, with a focus on teamwork, project management, and design process.

About the Position

This part-time faculty position is contracted on a quarterly basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach a variety of engineering courses, including parametric solid modeling using SolidWorks software, hand-drawing as a tool for visualization, and other freshmen and sophomore transfer engineering courses.

Requirements
  • Masters degree in engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, or comparable professional credentials
  • Experience teaching college-level engineering courses

Salary and Compensation

The salary range for this position is $1208.89 to $1422.22 per credit hour, with opportunities for advancement based on experience and performance. Part-time faculty may also become eligible for healthcare and retirement benefits at the beginning of the second consecutive quarter of half-time or more employment at one or more Washington state institutions of higher education.
