Job Summary:

As an In-Home Direct Support Professional, you will provide guidance, encouragement, and support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or communities.

You will help individuals develop and monitor their individual plans, hopes, and dreams, and support them in developing essential living skills to maintain their independence.

You will be responsible for maintaining documentation, performing record-keeping, and participating in periodic meetings and trainings as required by regulations.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Medication administration training
  • Computer and math skills
  • Able to read, write, solve problems, and follow directions
  • Good decision-making skills and ability to respond to emergency situations
  • Able to recognize boundaries and exhibit patience, self-control, and flexibility
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
