Overview

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a highly skilled Investment and Feasibility Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in enabling us to pursue data-driven strategies that maximize results for our brand, hotel owners, and management company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain multi-year forecasts for all hotels in our managed portfolio.
  • Prepare detailed market due diligence and research.
  • Analyze capital needs and renovation scopes to ensure they are appropriate for the existing market opportunity and consistent with our financial objectives.
  • Create compelling and creative business plans for various new business opportunities.
  • Work with operational departments to create and maintain reports or relevant mechanisms used to measure defined success criteria.
  • Create and maintain status reports for all active initiatives.
  • Uncover value-add and operational improvement opportunities within our portfolio of managed hotels.
  • Participate in due diligence and transitions for acquisitions and other new business opportunities.
  • Assist with the financial evaluation of capital allocation projects, including acquisitions, renovations, and repositionings.
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with a focus in finance and/or hospitality preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Intellectually curious with a strong desire to develop expertise in hotel operations.
  • 3-5 years of experience with data and analysis in the hospitality industry and a demonstrated capability to deliver actionable insights through the review and cultivation of information.
  • Well-developed and effective team facilitation skills, with the ability to participate in a cooperative and accountable team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and prioritization.
  • Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, peers, and entry-level employees.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to support meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and effectively managing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including excellent listening skills, concise communications, and targeting the message to specific audiences.
  • Advanced aptitude in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Infogram).
