Job Overview

The Behavior Therapist is a key member of our team, responsible for implementing therapeutic clinical services using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and following individualized behavior plans as developed by lead BCBA/LABA and under their supervision in the client's home, in the community, and during center-based social activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement ABA therapeutic clinical services in accordance with individualized behavior plans
  • Develop and maintain rapport with clients and their families
  • Behave in a professional manner at all times
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Remain alert and focused during sessions
  • Exercise independent judgment and initiative to perform essential duties
  • Demonstrate strong technical competence in information technology, including Artemis Scheduling/Data Collection Software
  • Must maintain the ability to travel to session locations
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Attend staff trainings

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients

The physical demands and work environment described below represent the activities and surroundings of the position. The incumbent must be able to perform all essential functions without restriction.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time, stand for long periods of time, remain alert and focused, and be able to keep a client safe physically. There is a potential for the incumbent to have to walk or run after a client should they elope. To perform the job, the incumbent is frequently required to talk and hear in-person with individuals and groups. The incumbent may carry materials weighing up to 30 lbs. The incumbent is required to read and respond to documents in hard copy and electronic form.
