The Smart Card Production Specialist is tasked with the efficient preparation, operation, and maintenance of Smart Card machinery, including lamination, milling, embedding, pre-personalization, key rolling, and quality assurance testing. This role is performed under the guidance of the Smart Card (EMV) Lead to ensure the production and timely delivery of high-quality secured chip cards that meet customer specifications and company quality standards.

Work Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM

Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $18.50
Shift Differential: $1.85
Total Compensation Rate: $20.35

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately set up and operate machinery, including loading and unloading materials, while making necessary error adjustments based on detailed work instructions and customer requirements.
  • Continuously monitor and address any quality issues during production runs to minimize downtime and waste.
  • Complete all Smart Card documentation with precision and maintain accurate records of completed work in the shop floor data system.
  • Fulfill required audit documentation based on job stages and equipment utilized.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of experience in machine operation.
  • Strong attention to detail, including the ability to distinguish colors.
  • Basic proficiency in English communication skills.
  • Fundamental computer skills.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to select and utilize appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Basic math skills for computing percentages, weights, and measures.
  • Strong detail orientation and decision-making abilities for equipment setup and quality checks.
  • Ability to operate computer-aided machinery and a solid understanding of Windows-based systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow and interpret written and verbal instructions.
  • Commitment to security and safety protocols.
  • Reliability demonstrated through good attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily conducted in a standing position and involves walking, bending, stooping, pulling, climbing, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
