Your Role at Avera: Lead Avera into a new era of innovation alongside a dynamic executive team committed to shaping the future of health care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a key member of the executive leadership, formulate both short-term and long-term strategies for the department and health system, aligning with Avera's mission and vision.

Role Summary:

Accountable for the strategic planning and management of Avera's Long Term Care services. This includes overseeing all operations at the Avera Prince of Peace Retirement Community, ensuring alignment with Avera Health's philosophy and compliance with state and federal regulations. Coordinate interdepartmental activities to provide care that addresses the spiritual, emotional, and social needs of residents.



Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday
  • Primarily Daytime hours with potential evening or weekend responsibilities


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nursing, or a related discipline is required.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in multi-facility leadership within a skilled nursing environment is essential.


Licensure and Certifications:

  • Must possess a Long Term Care Administrator's license from the state of South Dakota.


Leadership Responsibilities:



Accountable for recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining staff. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and overseeing work, evaluating performance, recognizing and addressing employee concerns, and resolving issues.
