Environmental Conservationist Role

**Company Overview:**

American Conservation Experience - CREW is a non-profit organization dedicated to introducing and preparing young adults for careers in resource management within the conservation industry or with public agencies.

Our mission is to provide opportunities for individuals to gain valuable skills and experience while serving in various locations throughout California and the Pacific West.

**Job Description:**

This role involves serving as a member of our Pacific West crew, working on projects including ecological restoration, habitat improvement, and trail maintenance and construction.

Schedule: Project schedules vary greatly, but typically members serve 8 days on/ 6 days off or 4 days on/ 3 days off. For remote projects, members spend off-days nearer to their project location.

**Compensation and Benefits:**

The estimated salary for this position is $19,200 per year (approximately $1,800 per month) based on a 13-week term.

Members receive a Living Allowance of $400/week, paid bi-weekly.

Members obtain an Education Award for the amount of $1,956.35 upon successful completion of service.

AmeriCorps members may also be eligible for qualifying child care coverage and federal loan forbearance.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Perform physically demanding labor on environmental and conservation projects
  • Work in a group environment and be able to communicate effectively
  • Be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Pass a required background check
