Position Overview

Role Summary

LOCATION: Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute

SCHEDULE: Full-time (40 hours per week). 1.0 FTE. Monday-Friday between the hours of 7am-7pm. Rotating weekend call. No holiday rotation.

SIGN-ON BONUS: $10,000 with a 2-year commitment to the organization (external applicants and eligible internal applicants only)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy and maintain accurate records of daily treatments as mandated by departmental protocols.
  • Assess patient documentation, record necessary information to chart treatment plans, and coordinate required appointments.
  • Execute simulation procedures as directed by the physician, including the preparation of immobilization devices, alloys, and shields.
  • Conduct imaging for treatment field verification and localization purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
  • CPR certification.
  • Certification in Radiation Therapy Technology, issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. For individuals placed prior to certification deadlines, certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire/placement date.

Tools: Computer, Phone, Copier, Printer, Fax, Office Supplies

Software: Microsoft Office Products
