Data Center Support Specialist

Tandym Group is a rapidly expanding technology company with locations in Umatilla and Boardman, Oregon. We have multiple positions available for Data Center Technicians to join our team.

We are seeking highly skilled individuals to provide 24x7 technical support in customer's data centers. The ideal candidate will have experience installing and configuring network systems from the data link layer to application layer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain network availability to ensure remote users can access servers without interruption.
  • Engage in site layout planning, network construction, quality control, and data safety protocols.
  • Supervise server support specialists to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or network issues.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of L1-L7 network architecture, TCP/IP, switching, routing, and optical communication technology.
  • Experience installing servers and their components, including boards, cards, hard drives, and software products.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills to analyze complex issues and interface with customers and technical staff.
  • Ability to diagnose data communications problems using specialized tools and test equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A+ and CCNA certifications, as well as training from applicable hardware and software manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of power and air flow systems.
  • An associate degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.

Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
