The Production Supervisor - Shift Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating all activities on their assigned shift(s). This role requires strong leadership and coaching skills to ensure the efficient utilization of a talented workforce and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Production Plans
Develop and implement plans that execute the daily production schedule, ensuring timely and efficient production.
Lead and Coach TeamsHold the organization accountable for hitting daily goals and upholding quality/operational standards. Initiate and participate in plant continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency and productivity.
Industrial Relations and CommunicationLead point of contact for industrial relations issues and business communication, ensuring effective communication with associates, management, and external stakeholders.
Associate DevelopmentImprove the technical and decision-making capabilities of associates through training, coaching, and mentoring.
Performance Metrics and ReportingUse plant data analysis tools for performance metric tracking, reporting, and problem-solving to drive business decisions.
Shift Meetings and AuditsPrepare and deliver daily turnover meetings, conduct plant appearance and safety audits, and ensure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant's Quality Management Systems.
Compliance and SafetyComply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements- Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
ExperienceAt least three (3) years of management experience in a manufacturing environment required; experience in the optical fiber cabling industry preferred.
SkillsMotivated team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to work a variety of work schedules, including holiday and weekend emergency coverage.
