Job Title: Custodian

Join our team at Rocky Mount Prep as a Custodian, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine custodial duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning restrooms.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on custodial equipment and supplies.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of trash properly.
  • Unlock doors and ensure they are locked after cleaning areas.
  • Report needs and concerns to appropriate staff, including submitting work orders and checking supply levels.
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of equipment and supplies, promoting workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Assist in on-the-job training of new staff on routine procedures.
  • Perform cleaning functions specific to assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirements.
  • May provide vendors with access to areas for cleaning and answer basic questions.
  • May assist or perform snow removal activities and minor maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of custodial experience preferred.
Work Schedule:
  • 4 hour shift.
  • Day shift.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Morning shift.
Pay:

$15.00 per hour.
