Senior Systems Engineering Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining the scope and integration of a comprehensive data repository across the organization
  • Establishing connections among various data categories
  • Assessing data preparation needs for merging diverse data formats
  • Creating protocols for managing sensitive information
  • Collaborating with data analysts, data release coordinators, and operational users
  • Implementing solutions within the organizational framework
Core Duties:

  • Overseeing requirements engineering, solution development, scheduling, and additional tasks across the National System of Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) and associated entities
  • Evaluating and planning user needs, system architectures, methodologies, and challenges
  • Providing guidance on modifications to solution frameworks based on requirements and technological advancements
  • Converting mission objectives and client expectations into system specifications and solutions
  • Facilitating requirement distribution and systems integration processes
  • Leading Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs) and Trade Studies
  • Offering expert technical counsel and strategic direction
  • Coordinating the efforts of contractor Systems Engineers
Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related discipline
  • 18 years of professional experience as a Systems Engineer/Integrator
  • Background in government or industry with intricate systems
  • Profound knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle
  • TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Doctorate in Systems Engineering or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering and software development practices
  • INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies and Big Data solutions
  • Expertise in geospatial intelligence and associated domains
  • Proven management experience
