Overall Assignment Description:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in directing engineering teams to adopt a comprehensive approach to requirements gathering, solution design, scheduling, reliability, and system integration across various intelligence systems. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of precise and timely geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and mentor mid-level and junior engineers in executing requirements analysis, solution development, and system integration across diverse intelligence frameworks.
  • Facilitate the planning and traceability of user requirements, enhancing existing systems and evaluating cloud service capabilities.
  • Guide engineers in crafting solution designs based on thorough analysis of user needs and emerging technologies.
  • Assist in translating mission objectives into actionable systems and capability requirements.
  • Support the allocation of requirements to system architecture components and program execution.
  • Conduct systems integration activities to ensure seamless operation.
  • Perform comprehensive analyses including Alternatives Analysis, Course of Action evaluations, and Engineering Assessments.
  • Contribute to strategic technical planning, project management, and risk management initiatives.
  • Engage in the integration of multiple systems and processes across organizational boundaries.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
  • Extensive experience in government or industry roles related to systems engineering, particularly within complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments.
  • Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of Digital Engineering processes and software development frameworks.
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
  • Experience in geospatial intelligence.
  • Professional engineering licensure.
  • Active participation in relevant professional organizations.
  • Expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, and geographic information systems.
  • Understanding of the current National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG) and related enterprises.
