We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Educator to join our team at Quality Talent Group. As a Nurse Educator, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing educational programs for our staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement staff development programs, including training sessions, workshops, and online courses, to meet regulatory requirements and improve staff knowledge and skills.
- Coach, counsel, and mentor staff members to enhance their performance and address any performance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of educational activities, attendance, and responses.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Director of Quality and Director of Nursing to plan, coordinate, and implement staff programs and services.
- Consult with and inform the Director of Quality and Director of Nursing on matters related to staff education and development.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nurse Educator in a long-term care setting.
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Previous experience working in a long-term care setting.
- Demonstrated ability to creatively educate and coach staff members.
- CPR certification required, CPR trainer certified or willing to become a trainer.
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
- Ability to interact, educate, coach, and communicate with a wide cross-section of individuals in a courteous, tactful, and effective manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest ethical standards.
