Job Summary
Virtua is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role plays a vital part in providing high-quality patient care, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse or LPN.

About the Role:
  • Support patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and mobility assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, patients, and family members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Demonstrate professional ethics and maintain high standards of care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient transfers, mobilization, and transport as needed.
  • Perform technical duties such as vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, and foley catheter care under RN/LPN supervision.
  • Participate in phlebotomy and EKG procedures if certified.
  • Identify and communicate patient status changes to RN/LPNs and respond accordingly.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a PCT course, fundamentals nursing course, Certified Nursing Assistant program, or one year of direct patient care experience.
  • BLS certification and phlebotomy training/education for Emergency Department positions.

Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits that support your overall well-being.
