Project Overview:
Bechtel National, Inc. (BNI) is a premier provider of services to U.S. and British government agencies, recognized for executing large-scale, pioneering projects in site management, environmental restoration, defense, and energy. This role supports the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) at the Y-12 National Security Complex, a multi-year, multi-billion dollar initiative that will modernize uranium operations and enhance safety and efficiency.
Job Summary:
Help Desk Operations: You will oversee a dedicated team providing 24/7 help desk support, establishing process standards, monitoring performance metrics, and identifying areas for improvement in IT service delivery.
IT Service Management: Lead a team to define and implement complex IT Service Management processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives for customer satisfaction and service performance.
Local Infrastructure/Deskside Operations: Direct the implementation and support of infrastructure services, guiding cross-functional teams in deploying new technologies and ensuring alignment with service standards.
Mobility & Wireless Operations: Manage the Mobility Support team, establishing policies and procedures for mobile and wireless device management, and ensuring IT services meet established performance standards.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manage the implementation of the Project Automation Plan, coordinating with all functions on turnover requirements.
- Collaborate with client teams on updates to operating systems, networks, and applications.
- Engage with vendors regarding hardware, software, and communication capabilities.
- Lead and train team members on IT processes and tools across complex projects.
- Monitor automation support issues and expedite resolutions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with physical and cybersecurity protocols.
Education and Experience Requirements:
A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience is required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience managing IS&T budgets to meet customer needs.
- Expertise in managing Active Directory users and groups.
- Experience in supporting OS, network, and application updates.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for end-user issues.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office Suite.
- Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, operating systems, and network infrastructures.
