Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, configure, and maintain Linux server environments, including Red Hat and Rocky.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and stability.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Install and maintain various software solutions, including commercial and open-source packages.
- Implement and support virtualization solutions for Linux environments.
- Design and manage storage solutions relevant to Linux systems.
- Implement and maintain security best practices for Linux systems.
- Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for Linux-based systems.
Requirements:
- A BS in information technology, information systems, computer science, computer engineering, business, science, or a related field of study.
- A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years of Linux server administration experience.
- Experience managing, configuring, and maintaining Linux server environments, including Red Hat and Rocky.
- Experience managing VMware and NAS storage systems.
- Proficiency in scripting with BASH and Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a classified isolated environment.
- Experience implementing STIG processes and remediations.
- Experience with GPU, SLURM, and other HPC environments.
- Experience with CI/CD support and container administration.
- Deep familiarity with Red Hat Linux operating systems and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of open-source web application services.
- Prior experience in a government, scientific, or other highly technical environment.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
