Job Summary:

The Role:

As an Emergency Services Technician, you will provide emergent/urgent patient care under the direction of medical staff, adhering to applicable scope and standards of practice. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing basic patient care activities within the scope of practice
  • Assisting patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs
  • Reporting abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions
  • Greeting patients and visitors, answering and screening telephone calls
  • Performing technical procedures as delegated by medical staff, including ECGs, splinting, and specimen collection
  • Assisting with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly


The Opportunity:

This is a 30-hour per week position, with a rotating schedule that includes three 12-hour shifts one week and two 12-hour shifts the next. Weekend and holiday rotation is required.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hands-on experience leading a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and support skills
  • Ability to be flexible and shift priorities quickly
  • Strong attention to detail

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Maine Registry of Certified Nursing Assistants and Direct Care Workers, or Licensed EMT - Maine Department of Public Safety (DPS), or Certified Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) - MOAB Training International Inc.
