We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Data Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic data technology team at Guardian Life Insurance Company. Key Responsibilities- Design and develop high-quality, scalable data pipelines using ETL/ELT tools and technologies such as Informatica PowerCenter and Cloud.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
- Develop and implement data quality monitoring frameworks to detect anomalies, errors, and inconsistencies in the data pipeline.
- Optimize data pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability through automation, monitoring, and tuning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to data workflows.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and tools to continuously improve data pipeline architecture and efficiency.
- Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of data reliability, quality, and innovation within the organization.
- 12+ years of IT experience in working with data, building data pipelines, and data management or similar role.
- 4+ years of experience in data reliability engineer (DRE) role in creating observability, reliability, and data quality frameworks using Collibra Data Quality and Observability/Monte Carlo/Splunk.
- 3+ years of experience in handling incident management, response, resolutions, and metrics.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and technologies such as Informatica PowerCenter and Cloud.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering using Python, Pyspark, and Databricks.
- Shell scripting experience is a must.
- Experience with automation tools, automation scripts, and techniques to streamline data operations, alerting data pipelines, and optimize performance.
- Good knowledge of RDBMS, programming, big data technologies, DevOps, and automation tools, Site reliability engineering (SRE) principles, Networking, Cloud computing, CI/CD version control, and Security best practices.
- A competitive salary range of $91,000 to $149,925.
