We are seeking a highly-motivated intern to join our Civil/Site Engineering Discipline in our Holmdel, NJ office.

Colliers Engineering & Design is a trusted provider of multi-discipline engineering, design and consulting services to public and private sector clients.

Our team specializes in providing a comprehensive suite of services including civil/site, transportation, geospatial/survey, infrastructure, governmental, geotechnical/environmental, telecommunications and utilities engineering as well as architectural and planning services.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist technical staff on day-to-day projects.
  • Read and review project drawings and plans.
  • Confer with engineers about preparing plans.
  • Use AutoCAD Civil 3D software under the charge of Engineers.
  • Evaluate pre-construction field conditions.
  • Observe project sites and evaluate contractors' work to detect problems with a design.
  • Prepare reports and document project activities and data.
  • Prepare analyses from collected data.
  • Set up and help maintain project files and records.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography or a related program.
  • Must have reliable transportation to the office.
  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess solid problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong computer literacy, to include MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
