Patient Care Technician

Baylor Scott & White Healthcare is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician - Health Unit Coordinator to join our team at Baylor, Scott & White All Saints Medical Center, Fort Worth.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and record patient data, reporting information and observations to the nursing team in a timely manner.
- Obtain and record patient vital signs, height, weight, nutritional intake and output, and perform blood glucose monitoring.
- Perform routine urinary catheter care and collect and transport specimens as requested.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and maintaining continence.
- Answer and respond to patient call lights and requests in a timely way.
- Maintain unit and patient records, files, forms, and documents related to work area management and patient care.
- Check, update, and maintain facility boards, pneumatic tube system, and telemetry box reconciliation according to departmental policy and procedures.
- Prepare reports, purchase orders, projects, memos, and letters using computer programs.
- Perform work area help duties as directed by the nurse or physician.
- CNA certification, PCT Training Program, or EMT training, or 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, inpatient environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
