We are seeking a qualified Part-Time Umoja Counselor to provide academic, career, and personal counseling services to a diverse student population in the Umoja Program.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in counseling or a related field and have experience working with African American students in higher education. The ideal candidate will be able to provide culturally responsive counseling services and support the academic and personal growth of Umoja Program students.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic, career, and personal counseling services to Umoja Program students
  • Develop and implement counseling programs and services to support the academic and personal growth of Umoja Program students
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to provide comprehensive support services to Umoja Program students
  • Assess and address the needs of Umoja Program students through individual and group counseling sessions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and resources to support the academic and personal growth of Umoja Program students
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in counseling or a related field
  • Experience working with African American students in higher education
  • Culturally responsive counseling skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a community college setting
  • Knowledge of the Umoja Program and its goals
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
