At Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at our Plasma Center in Longview, TX. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in the collection of plasma from donors, ensuring the highest quality of plasma for the production of life-changing medicines.

About the Role:

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will be responsible for screening new and repeat donors, taking and recording donor vital signs and finger stick results, and using our Donor Information System to prepare donor charts and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring the safety of donors and our team.
  • Screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
  • Use our Donor Information System to prepare donor charts and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate donor compensation and help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
  • Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
  • Prolonged glove wear required due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).
  • 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Starting Hourly Wage:

$16.00

The starting hourly wage reflects the actual starting rate for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
