Highland Pines is seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the facility's safety, sanitation, and overall condition.
Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or Plants Operations Manager, you will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your duties will include:
- Performing regular safety inspections and weekly walk-through inspections of high-risk areas
- Following all prescribed Life Safety and Preventative Maintenance tasks in TELS as required for federal, state, local, and corporate compliance
- Preparing a monthly schedule for performance of preventive maintenance
- Maintaining complete documentation of all maintenance activities, including accurate records of all replacement parts and materials used
- Ensuring that all maintenance-related logs and documentation are up to date and accurate
As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Performing routine maintenance and repair work as required, including electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance
- Lubricating and cleaning parts as needed, and cleaning/ changing filters as required
- Reporting serious failures and problems to the Administrator
- Investigating causes of wall/door/frame damage and repairing problems
- Checking light bulbs and exit lights, room temperatures, circuit breakers, and nurse call system and making all necessary adjustments and repairs
- Ensuring that an adequate supply of maintenance supplies is maintained
- Preparing resident rooms for new and/or discharging residents
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School diploma
- Knowledge of laundry/housekeeping/maintenance procedures
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in long-term care (preferred)
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Highland Pines offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
