Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Leidos, supporting the GSMO program for the Defense Information Systems Agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform site surveys to assess site preparedness and develop implementation plans.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices from major vendors, including Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, and Infinera.
  • Analyze system faults and perform diagnostic tests to detect problems.
  • Review and prepare documentation for systems and maintain site documentation.
  • Investigate and recommend methods for obtaining solutions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance per OEM recommendations.
  • Coordinate with users, site support, and carriers for installation, cutover, and activation planning and execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior personnel.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma and 3+ years of experience.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Experience with network test equipment and testing up to 100G.
  • Experience building ethernet and fiber cables.
  • Experience with crypto equipment.
  • Experience with timing and synchronization equipment.
  • Experience with DC power systems.
  • Ability to work in a team-focused, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
