Job Summary

The Human Resources Director will lead the Human Resources Department in managing the activities and operations of the County. This role will oversee the recruitment, management, and retention of County staff, ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to support the County's goals and objectives.
  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, applicant screening, and interview procedures.
  • Develop and maintain employee relations policies and procedures.
  • Administer employee benefits, compensation, and labor contracts.
  • Coordinate training and development opportunities for employees.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain the Personnel Policy manual.
  • Represent the County in labor negotiations and unemployment claims.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, with experience in recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration. A bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is required.

The Human Resources Director will be responsible for leading a team of HR professionals and working closely with department heads and elected officials. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
