Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary
The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for performing diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. This includes performing echocardiographic sonography, cardiovascular ultrasound studies, and other imaging procedures as required. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of ultrasound technology and be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiographic sonography, cardiovascular ultrasound studies, and other imaging procedures as required.
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, transferring patients to ultrasound tables, scrubbing skin, and applying gel.
- Ensure images produced by ultrasound machines are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
- Assume responsibility for patient testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- One or more years of experience in performing adult echocardiogram and stress echocardiogram, carotid ultrasound imaging, and arterial and venous studies.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification.
- Experience leading or involved in obtaining ICAEL accreditation.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Travel required to various clinics. Additional compensation for travel.
