Job Title: Service Advisor

We are seeking a skilled Service Advisor to join our team at Nextran Truck Centers. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule service appointments with Service Foreman
  • Prepare written estimates for parts and labor, providing accurate time-frames for completion, inspecting vehicles and recommending additional services as needed
  • Educate customers on manufacturer-recommended maintenance
  • Track service work/repair orders, update dispatch systems, and provide customers with timely follow-up on work in progress
  • Explain service work and related charges to customers before, during, and after the completion of services
  • Review completed work with Shop Foreman and back parts counter personnel
  • Process repair orders and handle customer payments
  • Test drive vehicles with customers, as needed
Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Minimum three years of experience in the heavy-duty truck industry with a working knowledge of parts and services used in repair and maintenance
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to understand financial information as it pertains to dealership operations
  • Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Work Environment:

As a Service Advisor, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. You will be required to stand and sit for extended periods, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. You will also be required to walk, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
