About the Role

Alsana is seeking a skilled and compassionate Direct Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our inter-disciplinary mental health environment, you will work closely with therapists, dietitians, and nurses to support our clients in achieving their treatment goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain client safety and well-being, including taking and recording vital signs, weights, and meal observations.
  • Document client progress and notify supervisors of any unusual findings.
  • Dispense medication and administer First Aid according to facility policy.
  • Eat meals with clients and provide one-on-one assistance in crisis situations.
  • Assist clients with nutritional and dietary needs, and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues, and demonstrate professional conduct and compassion.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • One year of experience in behavioral health.
  • Current valid driver's license and ability to obtain L1MA certificate within 30 days.
  • CPR certification and knowledge of supervision of others.
