Primary Therapist

The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Primary Therapist to join our team. As a Primary Therapist at Alsana, you will provide consultation, case management, and therapy on complex cases to individuals affected by serious eating disorders.
Responsibilities- Assess clients, determine referral needs, and provide group therapy, family therapy, and group education.
- Formulate and implement treatment plans tailored to the needs of each client.
- Perform, interpret, and provide feedback on various assessments relevant to eating disorder treatment.
- Provide individual therapy sessions, utilizing appropriate interventions adapted to the needs of each client.
- Complete thorough documentation within established time frames, including progress notes, weekly therapy assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Communicate with the outpatient team to provide updates on client progress and ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in training and individual/group supervisions as assigned.
- Assist direct care in providing observations for clients, managing milieu conflict, and supporting clients.
- Provide crisis stabilization for clients in the milieu who may become de-escalated at times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, or other relevant health-related discipline.
- Two years' recent related experience working with eating disordered clients or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Eligible for registration with relevant professional associations.
- Ability to educate and provide consultation to clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and professional practice guidelines for the treatment of various disorders.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts, such as the Mental Health Act, and pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures.
