About the Position

Dunwoody College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our team in the Arts, Communication, Humanities, and Social Science programming. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality education to our students, fostering a learner-centered environment, and promoting equitable student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning
    • Deliver 1-2 classes per semester in a variety of formats.
    • Maintain a library of assigned classes.
    • Submit learner-centered course syllabi by deadline.
    • Conduct course and/or program student learning assessment.
    • Coordinate OER with librarian.
    • Communicate student concerns.
    • Promote course satisfaction surveys.
    • Collaborate with technical faculty, as needed.
  • Course Development and Assessment
    • Develop and maintain course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
    • Evaluate student learning outcomes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Student Support and Engagement
    • Provide timely, constructive, and encouraging feedback to students.
    • Be accessible to students outside of class hours through various communication channels.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • Master's Degree in Social Science or a closely related field.
  • Experience
    • Evidence of excellence in teaching.
    • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Experience with Canvas or similar Learning Management Systems.
