Role Overview
As a CT Imaging Specialist, you will conduct procedures and tests utilizing advanced Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to gather and analyze diagnostic data for patients.

Patient Verification
Ensure accurate patient identification and document pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age.

CT Scanning Procedures
Perform CT scans in accordance with established protocols, manipulate images as required, and execute multi-planar and 3D reconstructions of image data. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of CT algorithms and select appropriate window and level settings based on anatomical considerations.

Contrast Administration
Administer oral contrast to both adult and pediatric patients following established protocols. Establish intravenous lines and administer IV contrast while adhering to safe injection practices. Verify contrast eligibility and check relevant lab values prior to administration.

Image Management
Maintain a thorough understanding of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and ensure timely transmission of images to quality control, electronic medical records, and PACS. Verify and segment images at the quality control station, utilize service tools for image verification, and manage orders efficiently to prevent duplicate billing.

Compliance and Accuracy
Verify patient identification in line with organizational policies, ensuring all demographic information is accurate and properly reflected in PACS images.

Additional Responsibilities
Execute tasks promptly, manage scheduling to maintain a consistent workflow, and volunteer for challenging assignments and new research initiatives. Produce high-quality diagnostic images, review patient charts and reports for correlation, and uphold a clean and organized work environment. Document incidents as opportunities for improvement within the department.

Mentorship
Assist in the training of new employees and students.

Qualifications
Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within three months of application. Prior education, training, and experience that equip you to perform the assigned tasks effectively.
